Our client is looking for a 1st line support engineer to join the company at their Grantham office.
Working in an experienced and friendly small team, day to day tasks will include (but will not be limited to):
Providing 1st line helpdesk support to clients, troubleshooting hardware and software faults remotely as well as over the phone
System builds, routine maintenance & monitoring of client networks
Building, servicing & repairing client devices
Assisting team members on larger server and infrastructure projects
The Successful Candidate will:
Show problem solving skills, learn quickly, take the initiative but still have a considered approach when faced with new or unknown challenges
Will demonstrate an excellent level of English – written and oral
Have the ability to work in a team and alone, good communication, great customer service
A practical hands on approach
Ideally have a full UK Driving License but is not essential
Desire to advance own career in IT, a degree or suitable IT qualification is desirable but not essential.
An enhanced DBS check will be carried out if not already held.
The salary will depend on experience and qualifications, estimated at £15K – £18K
This includes a contributory pension scheme, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (to increase in subsequent years)
Working hours Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm
