HGV Mechanic/Technician, Gainsborough

I am searching for a focused, dynamic HGV Mechanic for my Client based in Gainsborough

My client is a successful family-owned business that has been trading from their reputation for many years where service and the customer is paramount to their success. Due to the continued growth of the business, I am now looking for an HGV Mechanic to work at the depot in Gainsborough, working on the tools and ensuring that the work of work complete is carried out to the high specification that is expected from a company of this calibre
This position will be Monday to Friday, normal day time hours with the occasional breakdown to attend, my client tries to use local garages as much as possible so your attendance on breakdown would be rare

The role of Mechanic within this company is paramount to the business’s success, you will be carrying out inspections on trailers and their unit, accessing the urgency of any repair work, servicing and MOT preparation.
You will have a proven track record of providing an invaluable level of service to the mechanical side of a business. To fit the culture of the business, you will need to be supportive, nurturing and have an encouragement-based attitude in dealing with your fellow colleagues
The role will have a high level of office based computer work, if this is not in your skill set, my client is looking to train on all aspects

As HGV Mechanic you will:
Complete all service work, within the time scales to the manufacturer’s specification ensuring all paperwork is completed as required
Document the results of all diagnostics, repairs, service and safety inspections
Ability to prepare a vehicle for a Pre-MOT
Carry out full services
Responsible for leading the team and lead by example
Maintain a safe and secure working environment
Mentor and encourage in a calm and orderable manner
Be approachable and mindful of the company’s excellent staff retention records

To be considered, you will have:
Level 3 Standard in HGV Maintenance and Repairs, will consider, if you are fresh out of education and have the level 3 qualification in HGV Mechanics
HGV Class 1 driving licence or be prepared to take your HGV test
Passion to move onto the next stage in your career within a superb company
